ACON Investments is an international private equity investment firm managing capital through varied investment funds and special purpose partnerships. ACON focuses on investing in negotiated transactions involving companies where it can add value as an active shareholder while providing support and additional resources to management. Founded in 1996, ACON maintains offices in Washington DC; Bogota, Columbia; Mexico City, Mexico; Sao Paulo, Brazil; and Madrid, Spain. In late 2006, ACON began investing domestically through its most recent U.S. private equity fund, ACON-Bastion Partners II, and its affiliated co-investment fund, ACON Investment Partners, which have committed equity totaling approximately $500 million. The firm's investment strategy begins by identifying middle-market companies in which it can invest $20 to $150 million of equity capital. The firm focuses on the U.S. Hispanic sector, energy, deep value and Latin America.
