AccelFoods is a nine month accelerator investing in high growth, early-stage brands in the packaged food and beverage space. Within the packaged-goods market, AccelFoods looks to invest in makers of allergen- and gluten-free foods, ethnic foods, and high-protein and nutritious snacks made from natural ingredients but which can be packed and consumed easily on-the-go. The firm does not work with restaurants or other food-retail concepts, or alcoholic beverages at this time and prefers to invest in companies with annual revenues of up to $2 million. AccelFoods' debut fund, a $4 million vehicle, closed in January 2014. The driving force is a partnership between AF Ventures, Scharf Brothers and Mistral Equity Partners, who together have over sixty years of combined investing experience.
