Amplifier Venture Partners, LP is a seed and early stage venture capital fund that principally targets investments in technology companies. Amplifier favors investments primarily in the corridor between Baltimore, MD and Northern Virginia. Amplifier was formed in 2005 by Jonathan Aberman, a leading venture capital lawyer and business advisor, with the support of general partners of a number of established venture capital funds and senior executives of leading technology and healthcare companies. Currently, the firm is interested in businesses in sectors such as enterprise software; hosted solutions; content search, delivery and monetization; communications technologies; material sciences; healthcare software and services; security solutions; and medical technologies ready for commercialization. The firm's initial investment is usually $50,000 to $100,000, and will generally invest from $500,000 to $750,000 up through the Series A financing round.
