BIA Capital Strategies, LLC is a specialized, research-oriented investment bank serving the media and communications industries. The firm operates BIA Digital Partners, a private mezzanine fund that provides subordinated debt and preferred equity for private telecommunications, media, entertainment and information services companies throughout the U.S. The Fund's objective is to provide flexible, cost effective junior capital that allows companies to respond to opportunities and thus enhance shareholder value. The emphasis is on growth capital for businesses that are undertaking an acquisition, management buyout, recapitalization, or growing organically. Companies will generally operate in communications segments with recurring revenue streams and have a regulatory or economic franchise. Portfolio companies typically have enterprise values ranging from $20 to $100 million. BIA Digital Partners' investments range from $5 million to $200 million and up to $30 million when limited partners or other firms provide co-investments. After fully investing the firm's first fund of $88 million, BIA Digital is now well into its second fund of $195 million, bringing total capital under management to $283 million. BIA has completed more than $2 billion in transactions since 1992.
