Founded in 2009, BW Forsyth Partners is a $100 million fund that focuses on investing in small- to middle-market companies that have EBITDA in the range of $5 million to $10 million. BW Forsyth invests in companies that have revenue of up to $250 million and an EBITDA of up to $20 million. EBITDA is typically between $1MM - $20MM for add-on acquisitions. Since 2009 the firm has completed 22 acquisitions and currently operates four companies in the capital and component equipment and insurance services sectors. Target industries include manufacturing, business services, distribution, automation, financial services/insurance and healthcare services and administration. The firm pursues a 'hybrid' investment approach that offers more value creation capabilities through operational improvements and strategy development and relies less on 'maxing out' financial leverage to produce returns. A relationship with Barry-Wehmiller Companies (a $1.4B diversified capital equipment manufacturer) enables the firm to provide 'strategic' resources without compromising the autonomy, strategic vision and entrepreneurial spirit of portfolio companies.
