Bay City Capital was established in 1997 as an equal partnership between The Craves Group, LLC and certain Pritzker family business interests for the purpose of managing investment funds in the life sciences industry and related activities. Since that date, the firm has managed five investment funds representing $1.3 billion in committed capital and invested in over 90 companies. Five of these funds are general life sciences funds and three are sector funds. In addition, Bay City serves as the investment advisor for The North American Nutrition and Agribusiness Fund, LP (NANAF), a sector fund, representing $111 million in committed capital. Bay City Capital seeks to maintain a balanced and diversified portfolio across the various life sciences sectors and with companies at various stages of development. Bay City Capital funds have invested in a total of 100 portfolio companies worldwide.
