Bay Grove seeks $5 million to $100 million equity investments in U.S.-based companies between $20 million and $500 million in aggregate size. The firm targets businesses that are cash flow positive; are growing or have a viable path to growth; have high returns on capital; and, most importantly, have strong management teams. Bay Grove does not invest in venture capital opportunities including high tech or life sciences. The firm is flexible in the way it invests and considers buyouts, growth equity, recapitalizations, structured investments and co-investments with other private equity firms. Sectors of interest and areas of expertise include: cold storage/distribution/logistics; business services; consumer/retail; energy/power; dental and health care services; banking; and media/entertainment manufacturing. Bay Grove invests for a select group of family offices, high net worth individuals, executives, and investment professionals. In real estate, transaction values are from $10 million, preferably greater than $20 million.
