Berkshire Partners invests in established companies with enterprise values between $200 million and $2.0 billion, located in industries with favorable prospects for sustainable earnings growth. Berkshire's fields of expertise include consumer products, retailing and related services, business services, transportation, energy, industrial manufacturing and communications, and healthcare. The firm seeks to invest anywhere from $100 million to $1 billion in each portfolio company. Through its eight investment funds, Berkshire Partners has managed approximately $11.0 billion of capital. Since 1984, the firm has invested in over 100 companies with more than $20 billion of acquisition value and combined revenues in excess of $22 billion. Investment structures include: leveraged buyouts, recapitalizations, growth capital investments, privatizations, PIPES, and equity stakes.
