Founded in 2002, Braemar Energy Ventures is a New York-based firm focused venture- and expansion-stage companies. Braemar focuses on, within the energy technology sector, clean fuel processes, advanced power conversion, clean fuel storage, electrical and mechanical storage, pollution control, demand-side management, power electronics, and information technology/energy related communications. A typical Braemar investment ranges from $5 million to $25 million in a particular company, with a standard investment between $1 million and $10 million in a single round of financing. The firm recently closed its second fund with $250 million in capital commitments.
