The Brain Trust Accelerator Fund focuses on early stage investments that address the diagnosis and treatment of brain related diseases. Unique features of the fund include the focus and experience in brain related diseases, potential deal flow from philanthropies, operational as well as venture capital experience, and a focus on social as well as economic considerations. Brain Trust is interested in 1) Technologies to deliver therapeutics across the blood brain barrier - a common barrier for treating many brain diseases; 2) Technologies to help optimize therapies that are most likely to benefit selected patients - often referred to as personalized medicine; and 3) Molecularly targeted therapies that target the abnormal pathways implicated in a variety of brain related disorders.
