Brera Capital Partners is a global private equity investment firm that seeks to invest in controlling positions in a select group of companies. The firm's investments are made through a $680 million fund, Brera Capital Partners Limited Partnership. Often, Brera invests in companies that are: non-core and often under-performing divisions of large corporations; private or publicly held companies undergoing a strategic transition; and companies that require growth capital. Brera's investments take the form of traditional management buyouts, recapitalizations (including controlling minority investments), or restructurings. The firm prefers to invest in companies with an enterprise value of over $250 million or the potential to achieve at least that level. Brera can directly provide more than $150 million of equity capital for each transaction and call on its investors of co-investment capital for larger opportunities. Brera invests in a wide variety of industries, including telecommunications, healthcare, financial services and outsourcing industries. The U.S. market has been and continues to be the firm's main focus, but Brera is increasingly exploring opportunities in Asia and Southern Europe (primarily Japan and Italy).
