Capital Factory is an Austin-based technology incubator offering a seed-stage mentoring program for startups. The program provides a small amount of seed capital and weekly mentoring sessions by entrepreneurs who have founded successful companies. The Capital Factory is focused on helping tech startups get profitable with less than $1 million in funding. Startup companies apply to participate in a 10-week summer program intended to get a startup pointed in the right direction with a clear path to profitability and growth. The program, founded by local Austin-entrepreneurs and lead by Joshua Baer, Sam Decker and Bryan Menell, will select 10 finalists from a pool of applicants, and eventually three winners. Winning companies will receive a long list of benefits including up to $20,000 in cash, and weekly mentoring sessions with a select group of proven, successful technology entrepreneurs. Capital Factory receives a 5% equity stake in winning companies under founder-friendly terms. Entrepreneurs have access to over 81,000 square feet of coworking space, 900 tech-focused events, and 150+ of the top tech mentors in Texas.
