CincyTech's mission is to help launch and grow new technology ventures in the information technology, biosciences and advanced manufacturing sectors. CincyTech supports entrepreneurs who are building high growth technology companies in the Southwest Ohio region. The firm's help is delivered through a four phase process that helps identify high growth opportunities, assists entrepreneurs in the development of high growth plans and connects entrepreneurs with a network of resources including: Management Assistance provided by a team of Executives-In-Residence (EIRs) and Investment Associates (IAs) to help accelerate the growth of promising technology companies; Seed Stage Investments through a $10.4 million seed fund to invest in high growth potential companies that meet investment criteria; Capital Formation Assistance provided by an Investment Development Director who will work with clients to access follow-on rounds of capital from angel and private equity investors regionally and nationally; and Imagining Grants to prove the potential of technologies developed at regional research centers to be commercialized by startup companies. Through the support of Ohio Third Frontier and regional partners CincyTech uses Imagining Grants to provide funding for entrepreneurs and pre-seed companies to conduct the work necessary to transition promising business ideas and technology into seed fundable businesses. Target grant size is $20,000-$40,000. CincyTech is currently investing out of CincyTech Fund IV, LLC, a $30.75 million seed stage fund that began investing in 2016. The firm has invested in more than 80 technology and health startups in southwest Ohio.
