Citi Ventures is Citi's global corporate venturing arm, chartered to collaborate with internal and external partners to conceive, partner, launch, and scale new ventures that have the potential to disrupt and transform the financial services industry, drive client success, and generate new value for Citi. Citi Ventures invests in companies with sound business models at various stages of a venture's lifecycle, from seed to scale. Investment size ranges depending on company stage and venture model. Focus areas include big data and analytics, commerce, payments, financial technology, marketing, and enterprise IT. Citi was one of the first banks to launch a FinTech accelerator in Tel Aviv in 2013. Since then, they have launched three classes, totaling 33 startups that graduated from the four-month program. In December 2014, Citi Ventures partnered with Plug and Play to expand our FinTech accelerator efforts across the U.S., EMEA, LATAM and APAC. 50+ startups are introduced to Citi businesses each year.
