Cornerstone Capital Holdings is a private equity firm investing in manufacturing and industrial service companies in the lower end of the middle market. Formed in 2000, with offices in Fort Worth and outside Philadelphia, the firm's goal is to acquire controlling interests in leveraged buyout transactions throughout the continental United States. Cornerstone's primary focus is to acquire low-tech manufacturing and industrial service companies with adjusted operating profits ranging from $1 million to $10 million annually (EBIT margins of at least 10%). Ideal acquisition candidates will have either a niche product or differentiating service; be operating in a mature, preferably fragmented industry; and have annual revenues ranging from $5 million to $100 million. Industries Cornerstone avoids include: Business Consulting; Early stage venture deals; Restaurants/hospitality; Construction; High-tech companies; Biotech; Real estate; and Retail.
