Crescent has been constructed to uncover investment opportunities across a broad group of industries and companies and throughout their entire capital structure. Since 1992, Crescent's Mezzanine strategy has developed a reputation as a reliable and dependable provider of junior debt capital, primarily to fund leveraged acquisitions. The firm's objective is to provide investors with substantial current income and capital appreciation by investing in a diversified portfolio of mezzanine securities. Investments generally take the form of private debt securities with equity participation in connection with leveraged acquisitions, recapitalizations and refinancings. Crescent is an alternative asset manager and SEC-registered investment adviser with approximately $40 billion of committed and managed capital under management and over 210 employees as of December 31, 2022. In August 2013, the firm announced the successful close of Crescent Mezzanine Partners VI. Investors committed more than $3.4 billion to Fund VI. The firm is headquartered in Los Angeles with offices in New York, Boston, Los Angeles, Chicago and London.
