Crofton Capital is a growth private equity firm that invests in and provides strategic resources to small and midsize businesses based primarily in the Northeast. Crofton Capital acquires majority control of stable businesses with its investment partners, and supports the growth of these businesses over the long term through collaboration with the management team. Good acquisition candidates are family-owned and closely-held businesses with an owner-operator or passive owner who is looking to realize liquidity and/or transition out of the business. An owner may wish to retain a minority ownership interest, and perhaps continue to manage the business, in order to participate in future upside. Crofton Capital will also facilitate the management buyout of a stand-alone business or a division of a larger company. Phil Ivey founded Crofton Capital after 15 years of experience as a mergers and acquisitions advisor working closely with management teams running excellent companies. The firm targets established, profitable companies with Annual revenues up to $50 million and Annual operating cash flows of $1 - $5 million. Sectors of interest include: Niche manufacturing; Value-added distribution (where product is enhanced by distinctive service); Business services; Software and technology-enabled services; and Consumer products and services.
