Formed in 2002, DW Healthcare Partners is a healthcare focused private equity firm with over $1.3 billion (across three funds) under management. The firm invests in healthcare companies at the smaller end of the middle market, generating over $5 million in EBITDA. DWHP seeks to partner with strong management teams capable of growing their existing companies to $100 million in annual sales over a three to five-year period. Ideal partners are platform companies (profitable businesses poised for growth) in which DWHP will invest $20-60 million of equity capital to facilitate both organic and acquisition-enhanced growth. DWHP invests in private, U.S. healthcare companies, primarily in the medical device, product, services, and specialty distribution sectors. The firm invests in mid to late-stage platform companies that are generating between $2 and $10 million in annual earnings. DWHP also invests in smaller businesses as add-on acquisitions to its platform companies. The firm raised $295 million for its fourth healthcare focused-fund, which closed March of 2017.
