Founded in 1986, Edison Partners focuses on expansion-stage, information technology companies, having made 261 initial investments and completing 214 exits, and managing $1.6 billion in assets. Edison initially invests $5-$8 million, financing internal growth, management buyouts, acquisitions, corporate spinouts and secondary stock purchases. Edison targets growing companies with revenues of $10-$30 million in New York City, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Delaware, Maryland, Massachusetts, Ohio, DC and Virginia. Edison's total investment ranges from $6-10 million. July of 2016, the firm announced the final closing of growth equity fund, Edison Partners VIII, at $275 million. The firm announced (April 2022) the closing of its 10th fund, Edison Partners X, oversubscribed at $450 million. Edison Partners Fund X addresses the gap in the $10 million to $30 million emerging growth equity investment market in geographies outside of Silicon Valley.
