Elevage Capital is an investment management company focused on a number of areas including municipal bond strategies, venture capital and private equity funds as well as real estate. The firm considers hedge funds, commodity pools and other collective investment vehicles, as well as traditional public securities, options, futures, derivatives, debt instruments, and commodities. E. Pierce Marshall, Jr. is the President and Chief Executive Officer of Elevage Capital Management. Mr. Marshall is a licensed attorney and also serves as the Senior Vice President and General Counsel of Trof, Inc., a Marshall family holding company with offices in Dallas and Houston, Texas. Pierce is also the former president of the Dallas Chapter of the Federalist Society, Lawyers Division and currently serves on the Board of Trustees of Greenhill School and the Marshall Heritage Foundation. According to Forbes, the Marshall family fortune comes from late oilman J. Howard Marshall II, who traded his shares in Great Northern Oil Co in the 1960s for what became an estimated 15% stake in conglomerate Koch Industries. He passed on the stock to son E. Pierce Marshall, who died in 2006. In 2016, Forbes estimated the Marshall family to be worth $12B.
