Elm Creek Partners is a Dallas-based private equity group investing primarily in Texas and the Southwest. The firm seeks investment opportunities in the smaller middle market where access to institutional capital is limited by a company's size, industry or other complications. Elm Creek Partners will make controlling equity investments of $3 to $6 million, primarily in established companies led by experienced entrepreneurs with vision and integrity. The firm typically considers investment opportunities in the manufacturing/distribution, business or financial services arenas, but has a particular interest in Aerospace & Defense, Transaction Processing, Packaging, and Waste & Energy Management. Transaction types can include management-led recapitalizations, acquisition financings or growth capital investments. A potential investment opportunity should generally have between $10 and $50 million in revenues and between $2 and $8 million of EBITDA for new platforms. The firm has no geographic limitations; however, Elm Creek does focus on investments in Texas and the surrounding states.
