Epic Ventures, founded by Zions Bank, is headquartered in Salt Lake City, Utah. While Epic invests in the Mountain and Western states, the firm seeks opportunities and invests in the Northeast and Northwest corridors of the United States. The partners are active investors and seek board seats in each investment they make. Epic does not focus exclusively on one or two technology sectors; rather, it looks across all sectors to find those companies with the management and market to achieve explosive growth. Licensed as a Small Business Investment Company, the firm has invested via four funds, Novell Ventures and a strategic Zions Bank fund. EPIC Ventures is a Partner Fund in the DFJ Global Network. EPIC Ventures focuses primarily on Series A financings, partnering with strong founders as early as pre-idea seed rounds and as late as $100MM growth equity rounds. To date, over 100 students have completed the Junior Analyst Program and have gone on to be leaders in private equity funds, investment banks, and consulting firms.
