Founded in 1998, FTV Capital invests in companies that develop technologies useful for the financial services industry such as application and infrastructure software, payment and transaction processing, outsourcing, IT-enabled services, and corporate and asset management services. The firm invests primarily in mid-to-late stage private companies with developed technologies. FTV typically leads or controls investments in companies that are: seeking to fund rapid organic growth, recapitalizing to optimize capital structure and/or meet the liquidity needs of shareholders, pursuing an acquisition-intensive strategy requiring capital, or spinning-off operations from a parent corporation. The firm looks for companies with $10 million-$100 million annualized revenue and typically invests $30 to $200+ million. On a limited basis FTV will consider late stage consolidations or spinouts. The firm closed FTV V, in September 2016 with $850 million. To date, FTV Capital has raised $4.8 billion across five funds and invested in over 130+ portfolio companies since the firm's inception.
