Farmington Capital Partners is a merchant banking and advisory firm that works with middle-market companies in the insurance and financial services industries. FCP was formed in 2007 by John Clinton, who previously ran for an extended period of time the well-known insurance private equity fund CCP Equity Partners (formerly known as Conning Capital Partners). Under John's leadership, CCP Equity Partners invested broadly across the insurance sector having completed over 50 investments over a span of 20 years. Scott Cantini joined FCP in 2010 having previously worked as an insurance investment banker, a private equity banker and as an insurance operating manager. The collective experience base allows FCP to advise management teams and entrepreneurs in sectors that include managing general agents, managing general underwriters, wholesalers, retail agents, SaaS risk management service providers, specialty underwriters, outsourced service providers, claims management, and life and health benefit specialists. The firm looks for companies with between $2 and $30 million of revenues that are poised for rapid growth. FCP's current direct investment size is $2.5 million to $10 million. The partners of FCP have been active in the insurance and financial services deal business for 30 years.
