Founded 2004, Fundamental Capital is a private equity firm that invests in companies generating revenue between $5 million and $50 million. Fundamental looks for the following attributes in companies: U.S. based, with a preference for Western U.S. and Hawaii; EBITDA of $2 million or greater for buy-outs; Cash flow positive; and Manufacturing, Services, Distribution, Retail, Consumer Products businesses. Targeted investments involve growth capital, buyouts, recapitalizations, and corporate divestitures. Fundamental's philosophy is to create flexible transaction structures to meet the current and future capital needs of portfolio companies. The firm seeks to invest $2 million to $10 million in each transaction, generally in the form of common and preferred stock. Since 2005, Fundamental Capital has invested over $30 million in five businesses with aggregate revenues of approximately $200 million. Fundamental Capital has sponsored transactions exceeding $100 million in enterprise value.
