Geneva Corporation, headquartered in Greensboro, North Carolina, was founded by F. James Becher, Jr. in 1979, to acquire select value-added distribution companies. Since its inception, Geneva has acquired over 30 businesses, all 100% owned. These distribution companies represent manufacturers, including Allison transmissions, MTU, Detroit Diesel engines, GE Jenbacher, Kohler generators, Ditch Witch, John Deere and Pella. Preferred acquisition candidates will be in distribution, services or light manufacturing sectors, having operations in the Southeastern United States. The firm targets profitable businesses operating in the $25 - $100 million revenue range.
