Genstar Capital invests in companies in life sciences, healthcare services, business services and industrial technology. Genstar traces its roots back to Genstar Corporation, a New York Stock Exchange-listed company with over $4 billion in revenues and has $9.7 billion in assets under management.The firm looks to invest in, or acquire, companies with $50 million to $1 billion in revenues. Genstar commits $50 to $400 million of equity to investments in a variety of growth, buyout, recapitalization and consolidation transactions. Genstar Capital Partners V, LP was investing out of its fifth fund, which had approximately $1.6 billon, expanding the committed capital to $3 billion. The firm focuses on companies with EBITDA of $15 million or more and headquartered in the U.S. or Canada. Recently, Genstar Capital Closed Fund XI with $12.6 billion of committed capital.
