Founded in 1994, Golub Capital provides subordinated debt, last-out and second lien senior debt and minority equity capital to middle market companies. Golub Capital manages $30 billion of capital and invests in both privately and publicly held U.S.-based businesses. The firm's senior principals have experience in consumer products, business and consumer services, defense, manufacturing, value-added distribution, media, healthcare services and restaurants. The firm does not pursue investments in high technology, biotechnology, pharmaceutical, telecommunications infrastructure, oil and gas exploration, re-lending or passive real estate businesses. Most of the companies in which the firm invests have minimum operating cash flow of $5 million. Investments range from non-control debt and equity financings to controlling equity investments. Golub Capital underwrites and syndicates senior loans up to $200 million. The firm initially invests between $10 million and $100 million per issuer, with additional capital available for growth. Equity co-investments up to $25 million in buy and hold lending, EBITDA typically ranging from $5 million to $250+ million.
