The Govetech Fund is the first-ever venture capital fund dedicated to government technology startups. Government technology is defined as the technology infrastructure, the software tools and hardware that government departments use to do their internal work or to deliver services to their customers. To date, the fund has raised $23M with investments in SmartProcure, MindMixer, SeamlessDocs, and AmigoCloud. Govtech was founded by Ron Bouganim and seeks to raise upwards of $35 million. The fund anticipates backing 15 to 20 startups with an average investment of about $500,000.
