Greenmont Capital Partners is an investment fund founded by natural product industry insiders, focusing on early-stage companies in the $500-billion (globally) and $200 billion (in the U.S.) Lifestyles of Health and Sustainability (LOHAS) market. The firm's first fund, Greenmont Capital Partners I, LP (Greenmont I), was incepted in 2004 and has $20 million of committed capital. Greenmont Capital Partners II, LP (Greenmont II), began operations in September 2007. Greenmont focuses on early- and growth-stage companies and requires trailing 12-month revenue of at least $3 million for a company to be considered for investment. Greenmont targets companies seeking an equity investment of $1-5 million. Greenmont seeks investment opportunities in branded, consumer products companies with a clear LOHAS orientation. This primarily includes, but is not limited to, companies within the Food & Beverage and/or Natural Products categories. Greenmont may also consider smaller-scale opportunities in the Alternative Energy/Clean Tech space, a.k.a. 'consumer clean tech,' that provide for branded, consumer-facing products and/or applications. Privately held companies are preferred. Greenmont will consider investment opportunities in North America and Europe.
