Hermann Companies is a family-run, St. Louis-based holding company, whose primary asset includes Anchor Packaging, one of the Top Ten plastic food packaging manufacturing companies in North America, with over 2 million square feet of manufacturing space. Hermann Companies has invested in early stage companies. Firm President, Robert R. Hermann Jr., is actively involved in the community, where Bob is the former chair and current board member of the Saint Louis Children's Hospital, former chair of the Saint Louis Zoo and serves on the boards for MICDS (Country Day School, where he just finished as chair of its $100 million capital campaign), St. Louis Zoo Commission, Missouri Botanical Garden, Central Bancompany, Municipal Theatre Association, and Harbor Point Association. The Hermann family co-owned the St. Louis Stars team in the NPSL and the NASL from 1967 until the team moved to Anaheim, California, after the 1977 season and was renamed the California Surf.
