Founded in 2010, Huron River Ventures is a venture fund focused on early-stage Agriculture, Energy, and Transportation technology companies based in Michigan and the Midwest. HRV typically invests $1-$5 million per company over the life of the investment. Initial investments are made at the Seed, Series A or Series B stages. Huron River Ventures recently closed its first fund (Huron River Ventures I) at $11 million in June 2013. Huron River Ventures develops a view on where the markets in a sector focus will be in 5-10 years and then invest accordingly. Huron River Ventures has invested in 20 companies with 10 exits to date.
