In general, HPH prefers full buyouts, rather than recapitalizations or shareholder liquidity events, and we focus on providing the equity capital in a transaction. HPH seeks companies that meet the following characteristics: $2 - $15 million EBITDA; Experienced and motivated management; High barriers to entry; Predictable and sustainable free cash flows; and Bankable assets such as accounts receivable, inventory, PP&E and real estate. HPH manages the assets of the Levy family. Founder Laurence Levy is the Chairman and CEO of Regency Affiliates Inc., a listed holding company with interests in real estate, a power station and self-storage assets; Founder and manager of PFI Resource Management LP, an investor in the Private Funding Initiative program in the UK, which invests in the privatization of state infrastructure assets; Founder of Ozburn-Hessey Logistics, one of the largest third-party logistics (3PL) companies in the USA; and Former Chairman and co-owner of Detroit & Canada Tunnel Corporation, the operator of the toll tunnel between Detroit, MI and Windsor, Canada. HPH has invested or co-invested in operations with an enterprise value in excess of $1.5 billion.
