Incubic is a venture capital firm investing a $100M fund. Since 2000, Incubic has invested or committed about $40M of that fund to the companies in its portfolio. Incubic has diverse market interests, but prefers markets where a core technology can make a difference that is very valuable. Markets addressed by the firm's present portfolio include: communications, cable television infrastructure, research instrumentation, life science research, cancer diagnostics, specialized microprocessors, memory, and EDA software. However, Incubic is interested in medical devices as well. The group has invested as little as $100K into a start-up, and as much as $5M in a single round. The firm's average has been about $5M over the life of the company (and as high as $10M). Incubic's focus is seed investments, although the firm will consider late-stage companies.
