Founded 2000, Incyte Capital Holdings considers investments throughout the U.S. and Canada, seeking investments generally for control in turnarounds, restarts and recapitalizations. Such investments can also include participation in, or outright purchase of, bank debt or other debt securities to alleviate covenant and other creditor issues. Potential investments generally have cash breakeven performance or the reasonable prospect of reaching such performance over a one to three month period. Incyte invests in companies with revenues between $20 million and $200 million at the time of investment. Industries of interest include telecommunications, technology, energy, and basic industries. In 2012, Incyte embarked on an additional effort in the area of early stage company investing. They make private investments of $20 million to $50 million in equity, and public investments of up to $150 million total transaction size. Incyte Incubator invests in early stage companies with as little as $1 million to $3 million in revenues that also exhibit certain cash flow and operating characteristics.
