Jefferson Capital Partners is a private equity firm seeking to invest in growth financings, management buyouts, and recapitalizations of well managed, rapidly growing companies, primarily in the consumer, business services, education, health care, and selected information technology industries. JCP's first private equity fund had $51 million of committed capital and is fully invested. Jefferson Capital Partners II, LP (JCP II), JCP's second private equity fund, held a final closing in October 2001 with committed capital totaling $87.5 million. JCP typically targets investment candidates with less than $75 million of annual revenues, preferring to invest between $2 to $7 million. In 2012, JCP through Jefferson Capital Partners, III, L.P. (JCP III) raised a $41 million fund dedicated solely to investing in the rapidly growing natural and organic food industry through a joint venture with Swander Pace Capital and United Natural Foods, Inc. Since its inception in 1988, JCP has invested over $200 million.
