Jones Boys Ventures (JBV) is a private investment company with permanent capital and a flexible mandate. JBV focuses on lower middle market growth, venture, and buyout investments preferably in niche businesses with privileged technology, relationships, or deep domain knowledge supported by secular trends. JBV's investments have included business services (Buyers Access sold to Omnia Partners), data centers (Colo5 sold to Cologix), biotechnology (Kalivir, EpiBone), software (Fieldware, LocalLogic, CoinOut sold to IRI) specialized manufacturing (Davlyn Group Holdings, Confidential Defense Aerospace Parts), and the longevity economy (Starling Senior Living). The firm manages the wealth of Richard Jones, Sr., a director at Pega, an American software company. Jones started with the company in 1999 and served as president and chief operating officer until 2002. He joined the board in 2000, and he served as vice chairman from 2002 to 2007. He also served as CEO of Fleet Investment Services, as chairman of Party City of Raleigh, Inc., as executive vice president of FMR LLC, and as European Head at Hewitt Associates, Inc.
