Kainos Capital is a middle market private equity firm focused on the food and consumer sector. The firm was formed by Andrew Rosen, Robert Sperry and Sarah Ashmore Bradley. To date, Kainos has invested more than $2 billion of equity in more than 40 transactions in the food and consumer sector with a total transaction value in excess of $7 billion. The firm will invest in manufacturers and marketers of food products, as well as other consumer products in the household and personal care industries and over-the-counter health and nutritional products sectors, EBITDA: $10M â€" $80M. Typical equity investments range from $50 million to $150 million, but for the right opportunity Kainos will invest more or less. The firm seeks to invest in companies that have an undermanaged or underappreciated growth element that can be exploited and the ability to be strategically relevant upon exit to a trade buyer or the public markets.
