Konza Valley Capital (KVCI) is a licensed Small Business Investment Company (SBIC) makes investments primarily in Midwestern-based companies. Over the years, KVCI has partnered with many successful companies in manufacturing, service, distribution, retail and technology related industries. The firm has funding capacity of approximately $50 million consisting of $13 million in equity and $37 million in SBIC leveraged capital availability. KVCI's primary market focus is companies with $10 million to $100 million in revenue and EBITDA margin of at least 10%. However through co-investing, KVCI can meet the funding requirements of larger companies. The firm's investment range is $500,000 to $2,600,000, although its targeted size for an initial investment is between between $1,000,000 and $2,000,000 in any one opportunity. The firm will invest in any industry, with a particular interest in manufacturing wholesale or distribution, and certain service or retail businesses. KVCI will also invest in various stages, primarily later-stage expansion financings, acquisitions, ownership transitions, management buyouts, turnarounds or recapitalization opportunities. The firm does not seek to play an operational role in its portfolio companies, but it generally does hold a seat on the Board of Directors and serves as an advisor on strategic decisions.
