The Kutnick Family Office manages the assets of Dale Kutnick, a co-founder of research and advisory firm META Group. Kutnick served as President, CEO and Research Director of META Group from its inception in 1989 until 2003. META Group went public in December 1995 and was acquired by Gartner for $162 million in 2004. Dale's son Toren Kutnick manages the office and invests (directly and with others) in seed and early stage technology companies around the world; he also manages programming and endowment for the Dale & Laura Kutnick Foundation, which funds environmental, educational, medical research and socially responsible non-profit causes. His areas of interest and investment include: Nanotechnology, 3D printing, solar energy, tattoo support and software solutions, biomedical sensors, research and advisory businesses (in advanced science and cannabis fields), diagnostics, water leak detection, food delivery, healthcare IT, robotics, and hospital acquired infection prevention. Before co-founding META Group, Dale Kutnick was executive director and research director at Yankee Group, a technology research and consulting firm, and a principal at Battery Ventures, a venture capital firm. He previously served on the board of directors of First Albany Corp. and its successor, Broadpoint Securities (BPSG), as well as on the IT Advisory Board of Danbury Hospital and the Clinical Advisory Board of Sanofi-Aventis.
