Lightyear Capital is a private equity firm providing buyout and growth capital to companies in the financial services industry. Founded in 2000, Lightyear, through its affiliated funds, has managed approximately $4.5 billion of committed capital. Transaction strategies the firm employs include leveraged buyouts, recapitalizations, restructurings and consolidations. Lightyear acts as the primary investor in most of its portfolio companies and its initial target equity investments typically range between $50 million and $150 million.
