Founded in 1988, Long Point Capital is a private equity fund with offices in Michigan and New York. With $315 million of capital under management, the firm focuses on partnering with successful entrepreneurs of middle market businesses to help them achieve their financial goals, such as achieving liquidity, accessing growth capital, or accommodating generational change. Long Point's leading investor is Masco Corporation, a publicly traded, Fortune 300 Company. Long Point Capital has invested in sixteen platform companies in Fund I and Fund II. Fourteen of these investments have been 'control' investments. The sales and EBITDA of these fourteen companies total approximately $1 billion and $200 million, respectively. Long Point's portfolio companies have sales ranging from $20 million to $200 million and EBITDA over $5 million. Long Point focuses on Manufacturing, Distribution, and Service companies located in North America. Investments range from $10 million to $50 million of equity per transaction (and potentially more for certain situations).
