Mantra was founded in 2007 with the aim to focus on underserved private equity strategies, as the challenges posed by a changing landscape in private equity creates the need to find new inefficient pockets of over performance within this asset class. Mantra targets opportunities in Primary Commitments, Co-Investments and Secondary Transactions in and alongside niche private equity funds. Mantra invests on a global scale through the management of third-party capital via specifically tailored funds and special accounts. Mantra focuses on high-quality managers operating in niche/uncorrelated private equity segments. Examples include: Litigation Finance, Digital Infrastructure, Agribusiness & Water. Mantra also targets small to mid-market secondary transactions, where due diligence requirements are often complex. Mantra will consider any kind of asset held in a private equity-style fund, except for real estate. The firm reviews secondary transaction opportunities up to $75 M in value, with no minimum deal size, on a global basis. Mantra has $500M plus assets under management.
