Founded in 2016, Mavin Ventures is a Growth Equity firm that invests in companies based in the Mid-Atlantic region that have market leading innovative technology and a proven business model that has the potential to scale efficiently. Mavin is seeking firms with Top-line Revenue: of $1-$5 million (recurring revenue preferred); EBITDA of $0-$1 million with potential EBITDA margins of 10%+ ; Annual Revenue Growth Rate of 50%-100%+; and High Gross Margins of 60%+. Mavin seeks companies that are typically bootstrapped to-date (have raised no outside capital), company, and are near break-even or cash flow positive already (or will be within 12-18 months). The firms targets those seeking $1-$2.5 million in capital (with assumption that no additional equity capital will be needed in future unless at very favorable terms). The firm targets investments in the Mid-Atlantic region (with focus on Baltimore City based companies). Mavin will look at companies in any sector but typically only considers companies where software is critical to their business (if not their core product offering: Business Products & Services; Enterprise Software; Media & Entertainment; AdTech/Marketing Tech; E-Commerce; HealthTech; EdTech; FinTech; and Cyber/Big Data.
