Formerly known as DFJ Mercury, Mercury Fund is a seed and early-stage venture capital firm. With over $300 million under management, Mercury invests in compelling and novel software and science-based startup opportunities, focusing on technology innovation originating in the U.S. Midcontinent. Mercury typically invests between $1 million and $4 million in Seed extension and Series A financings, also considering initial seed investments as small as $250,000 for startups with a strong thematic fit. Mercury expects to invest between $6 million and $8 million over the life of an investment. The firm announced December 2014 the close of Mercury Fund III, with $105 million in total commitments.
