Merit invests mezzanine and equity capital in middle-market companies principally in manufacturing, distribution and services industries. Merit invests in the following transaction types: Management Buyouts, Acquisition Financings, Shareholder Liquidity Events, Recapitalizations, Growth Financings, and ESOPs. The firm targets an investment size of at least $15 million in companies with revenues of at least $20 million and EBITDA of at least $4 million. Merit does not consider start-ups, turnarounds, real estate financings, specialty retailers, and oil and gas opportunities.
