Since 1982, Mesirow Financial's Private Equity division has invested in the private equity marketplace for a variety of institutional and high net worth clients. Mesirow invests in both Private Equity fund of funds partnerships, investing in top-tier private equity and venture capital partnerships that are diversified by vintage year, sub-asset class and manager; as well as Direct investment partnerships which invest in a portfolio of companies with experienced management teams, market leadership positions and the potential for equity appreciation. The Direct Investment Program typically invests between $3 million and $7 million per transaction. Since its inception, Mesirow Financial Private Equity has made more than 125 direct investments into operating companies, including a wide variety of company sizes, industries, and stages of development. Mesirow Financial is well capitalized and has been consistently profitable, with capital of $331 million and revenues totaling $333 million. The team has 85 years of market experience.
