The Michelson 20MM Foundation supports and invests in leading-edge entrepreneurs, technologies, and initiatives with the potential to improve postsecondary access, affordability, and efficacy. The fund supports organizations that get students into college, help them stay enrolled until they graduate, and help them re-enroll if they've dropped out. This helps students succeed as workers and entrepreneurs, leading to a better quality of life and helping the economy by supplying skilled workers to meet the projected increase in demand for tech workers. Michelson 20MM invests through its Spark Grants and Michelson Runway programs. The Spark Grant program is available to United States-based non-profits, institutions, and for-profits and awards grants up to 25K. Michelson Runway is the world's first social impact accelerator dedicated to supporting innovations in higher and alternative education, and in career training. Michelson 20MM was founded by renowned spinal surgeon Dr. Gary K. Michelson and his wife, Alya Michelson. Dr. Michelson has more than 950 issued medical patents throughout the world.
