Founded in 1972, Morgenthau Venture Partners is a highly specialized financial and strategic advisory practice specializing in mergers and acquisitions, divestitures, integration support, strategic planning and critical developmental stage planning. The firm focuses on the following industries: software and programming, computer services, healthcare services, and telecommunications. Morgenthau Venture Partners is in the midst of raising its inaugural Accelerator Stage Fund, with a target capitalization of $60 million. The Fund will make equity investments in a diversified group of growing technology driven 'Accelerator Stage' companies. Accelerator Stage companies consist of both early and growth stage companies (i.e. $2 million - $30 million in revenues) that seek an institutional round of financing or a strategic relationship with larger institutionally financed public or private companies. The Accelerator Fund will pursue investments primarily in the Southeastern United States (Florida, Georgia, Alabama and the Carolinas) with particular emphasis on the most underserved market, Florida. The typical capital requirement ranges from $1 to $4 million over the life of the company's funding cycle, depending on the stage of development, business model and industry category.
