New Capital Partners is a private equity firm with offices in Birmingham and Dallas. The firm invests in high growth companies primarily in the Southeastern United States and Texas. NCP currently manages $225 million across its private equity funds and economic development funds. NCP Private Equity Fund I was the first equity fund raised by New Capital Partners in 2001. NCP invested in ten partner companies (four healthcare services, four financial services, two business services). After two successful sales, eight portfolio companies remain active. NCP Private Equity Fund II was closed in the first quarter of 2009. NCP is actively evaluating businesses in exciting market niches which have reached an inflection point of growth. NCP is targeting a similar industry focus as Fund I with a similar investment criteria. Waveland NCP Ventures is a partnership between NCP and the state economic development agencies of Alabama and Texas. The economic development funds are targeted at investing in companies that can create jobs and economic prosperity in each state, respectively. NCP primarily provides senior and mezzanine debt to companies headquartered in Texas and Alabama. NCP provides capital to companies that have a proven product or service, existing market adoption from key customers and are profitable. The firm targets services-based companies in the Southeast and Texas (opportunistically elsewhere) in these industries: Healthcare services/ Healthcare IT; Financial services/ Insurance; and Business services. NCP looks for revenues greater than $5 million, with opportunity for significant growth (organic or acquisition) and a proven business model with the potential to become the leading company in a market niche. The firm's target structures include buyouts, acquisitions, recapitalizations and growth equity.
